Is teak really worth it compared to impregnated spruce?
Teak contains natural oils that make it inherently weather-resistant without annual treatment. Impregnated spruce is pressure-treated to resist rot and is an excellent, lower-maintenance choice for everyday garden use — it simply needs a periodic coat of outdoor oil or stain to stay in great shape. The right choice depends on your budget, your garden aesthetic and how much time you want to spend on upkeep.
Can I leave my wooden garden table outside all year round in the UK?
All the solid wood tables in this range are designed for outdoor use. Teak handles year-round exposure particularly well. For Douglas fir, impregnated spruce and acacia, a good-quality waterproof furniture cover during prolonged wet or freezing spells will noticeably extend the life of the finish — though the timber itself will not rot.
